Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork

This is seriously one of the easiest recipes ever.  I looked up a few different recipes and came up with this mixture.  So I headed off to the store, and stood in the meat isle staring at the pork.  I feel like whenever I read a recipe it says to buy a certain cut of meat, but when you go to buy it, can you find that same type? No.  So thankfully there was a friendly meat man restocking the shelves and I think he could tell I was scared of the pork products so he asked if he could help me.  I told him I wanted to make pulled pork and there were only two of us, and he handed me a "picnic" roast.  Which is basically a baby sized pork butt, I think.  So once you have your appropriately sized chunk of pork, head home and throw some stuff in the slow cooker, then prepare to be satisfied.

Ingredients
Pork butt (or picnic roast or whatever the meat guy says to buy)
Bottle of BBQ sauce, I recommend Sweet Baby Ray's, but use your favorite
Yellow mustard
Brown Sugar
Garlic Powder
Pepper

Directions
I poured a little of the BBQ sauce and about 4 squirts of mustard into the bottom of the crock pot and mixed it up.  Then add your pork.  Sprinkle liberally with garlic powder, or not if you don't love garlic like I do.  Sprinkle a tablespoon or so of brown sugar if you want a little extra sweet, this may also depend on how sweet your BBQ sauce already is.  And I also added a little black pepper.  Then pour the rest of the bottle of sauce over the top of the pork and make sure its completely covered.  Put the lid on and walk away.  After about 4 hours it should fall apart when you pull at it with a fork.  I suggest pulling all the pork apart and then letting it sit another 30 minutes at least so that every shred is covered in delicious sauce.

We put ours on hamburger buns and topped with cole slaw.  I have not perfected my go to slaw recipe yet but I will say I added green apple to my slaw for the pulled pork and it was so yummy.  I then ate pulled pork for days after this and it was amazing.  Pulled pork quesadilla anyone?  Yum. Enjoy!
